I am from a mixed heritage cultural background and easily establish rapport with persons from a diversity of cultures. My career has been in a diversity of fields and locations, including remote communities in Australia and Papua New Guinea. I have l also lived in Indonesia and Thailand for more than 12 months working as a teacher. Related experience. My background encompasses over 30 years in a wide scope of experiences in the Hospitality and Tourism sector in PNG and Australia, prior to embarking on a career change into teaching and training for 10 years. I have now completed the Certificate III in Aged Care, with 1st Aid & CPR with a vision to transfer my customer sensitivity skills to the aged care/support industry. My exposure and training includes competency in manual handling techniques and hoists, exposure to palliative, and special care in the dementia unit. I have completed my 120 hours of placement training at REGIS- Whitfield (Cairns) and am seeking employment in this industry.
