I am a caring professional and experienced individual support worker with five years of experience in a support role (paid and volunteering) and I have a passion for improving the quality of care for individuals who require assistance. My goal is to seamlessly deliver satisfactory support services through persistent practice. I am willing to put in the time, make necessary sacrifices and do the work in order to deliver assigned roles in real-time. I have worked as a casual and a volunteer at various centres including facilities for aged care, religious-based aged care and disability support homes as well as numerous non-governmental organisations responsible for assisting people with disability in the community. I was able to impact lives through skills such as organising social activities, community outing, assisting with personal care such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, food preparation, feeding and assisting in medication administration. Overall, I supported the clients in maintaining a good quality of life and live as independently as they wanted to.
