Hi, I’m Ashley, a student currently studying my diploma of Nursing. Although I have not yet worked in an aged care facility, I have been the primary live-in carer for my elderly nan for about 4 years. Due to the recent Covid-19 epidemic, I have not yet completed my placement for aged care nursing studies however have completed all my relevant training including personal care and manual handling. I am able to use hoists, standing mechanisms and sliding sheets. As someone who has been eager to begin my nursing career in which has been now put on hold, I am eager to do as much as I can to help the community and take on as much work as possible.
