I have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) and a year and a half of experience working in aged care, mainly with dementia residents. In my experience, I have handled difficult situations with care and patience, such as helping residents during moments of confusion or distress. I always try to keep a calm and friendly approach to make them feel safe and comfortable. I focus on understanding their needs and supporting them in a way that respects their dignity. I also love talking to people and finding common topics or backgrounds to connect on. Building these relationships is something I enjoy, as it helps residents feel more at ease and cared for. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, sketching, painting, playing chess, and watching movies. These hobbies keep me creative and often help me connect with residents in fun and engaging ways.
