I was primarily an Outside School Hours Care Educator at South Coogee OOSH. Partaking in the rewarding experience of working with children, I was entrusted in utilising my nurturing and positive nature to create trusting relationships with all children and provide them with the utmost care. Working in childcare involved having to adapt to a multitude of unanticipated situations, and cater to children’s individual needs to dissolve conflict or misbehaviour. My responsibilities included cooking a variety of healthy meals for large groups of children, cleaning tasks and creating and running engaging and enriching activities that involved improving their abilities in teamwork, creativity and fine motor skills.
I have also worked with an array of families employed with the responsibility of caring for their children. I was entrusted with up to 3 children at a time, from ages 2-10 years. I provided a range of services such as cooking/meal preparation, pick up/drop off, light housekeeping, activities, school work, bathing and virtual care.
