Friendly, kind, trustworthy, and reliable babysitter. Love pets too!

My name is Jade, I'm a 27-year-old female, working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) full-time in Canberra. I'm the oldest of three kids and started babysitting for my parents at age 13. My sister is 8 years younger than I, and I used the parent network in her primary school to find jobs as a teenager, which also led to house-sitting and dog walking /minding opportunities. I stopped babysitting while working in hospitality, but now that I have weekends back, (and the university workload has slowed down), I would like to pick up some babysitting shifts to make some extra money. I enjoy hanging out with children and am kind, reliable, and trustworthy. I would describe my style of babysitting as activity orientated. I find activities to be the most fun and the least challenging for children when their parents leave. I encourage sports, movie nights, crafts/coloring, building forts, and even just hanging out in the backyard during the summer, escaping technology where possible. I'm also very comfortable with cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, and following a routine. It's nice to be able to disconnect from my own day and immerse myself in a job like babysitting that requires 100% presence.
