Ben (4th Year Occupational Therapy Student/Disability Support Worker)
|
My name is Ben, and I am a fourth-year Occupational Therapy student passionate about working with children and supporting their development. Growing up in Penguin, Tasmania, I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors, enjoying activities like surfing and footy, which help me connect with children through play and exploration.
As a disability support worker, I’ve gained valuable experience providing care to individuals with diverse needs, honing my ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships. I believe every child deserves a nurturing environment where they can thrive, and my friendly, personable nature helps create that space. Fostering a sense of belonging and safety is essential for children to explore, learn, and grow.
My passion for fitness and well-being inspires me to encourage children to engage in active play, promoting their physical health and social skills. With my background in occupational therapy and experience in disability support, I am committed to providing a caring, inclusive, and fun environment for all children, supporting their growth through meaningful interactions and engaging activities.
