Education based, looking to start a career in childcare.
|
Although I am just starting out in childcare, I have experience working with children. This started with me working at Gumbuya World at its start, where I operated the rides, where I got experience building rapport with children, whilst ensuring they know and understand the rules. I then moved to Japan, where I worked in the Japanese education system for two years, assisting in teaching English at both primary school and middle school. Whilst there, I obtained my TEFOL certificate, and started my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Care and Education. Upon coming back to Australia, I secured some holiday work with the Club House Boot Camp, a holiday program aimed for primary school aged children. I will also soon be commencing my placement at St. Paul's Early Learning Centre. I also have experience and training for children with special needs. I studied a Bachelor of Psychology at Adelaide University, completed a two day course in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the Lizard Centre, and worked at the Cassidy Crew for several months. Hopefully my experience with children in a variety of roles makes up for my inexperience as a carer.
