I’m a Canadian in Australia who is excited to be a part of the Great Southern community.

I have a history of childcare which has typically been weekly babysitting jobs for one to three children age 6-12. I find the bond that forms between myself and the families I work for to be extremely gratifying and I take pride in becoming a part of weekly family life. My hobbies in Albany at the moment are learning to surf, doing ceramic art with the Albany Pottery Group and volunteering at the community radio station. I have a background in music, playing both classical piano and bass guitar. I have always been one to spend time outdoors as much as possible, whether that be hiking, playing soccer and other competitive sports, camping or skiing. My approach to childcare is one involving my active participation, meaning that I try and avoid technology as much as possible and instead promote alternative activities to pass the time. This does take more work and imagination, but I believe it to be more rewarding for both myself and the children. I have my own means of transportation and I am happy to commute to surrounding areas.
