| I’m a Brit that’s just moved to Melbourne. I grew up in a single parent household as an older sibling (by 9 years to my next sibling, and 14 years to my youngest). I took responsibility of before and after school care of the children every night due to a terminal illness in the family. I also nannied for a family in London throughout August in London during summer holidays. This included taking the children out on day trips and providing them with activities all day while their parents worked. While in Perth I regularly babysat a 10 month old, a range of times of day as of when I was needed. This included also full days while the parents both worked. I have helped with daytime play and nap time, as well as bath and bed time routines. In Sydney I babysat a 2 year old, 2-3 days a week while his Mom worked. This varies between full days and half days but included mealtimes and lots of playtime (he had no screen time)
