I am a daycare cert 111 educator for 9 years specialising in the out of schoolcare arena whilst also being a live-in nanny for this past year and with my last family 3 years.
My charges have been an autisic 8 year old with his special needs 6 year old brother.
A typical day for us was get them over to the park to walk dog and play on the swing, showered, dressed in ironed uniforms, breakfasted, morning grooming, then after putting the little one on the bus (as dad drove bigger one to school on way to work) I cleaned up kitchen, dinning table, dishes, swept floor then started my day 2.5 hours later.
The afternoon started when dad walked in the door with them around 6pm, it was dinner, cleaning up after them and doing an activity. i.e. bubbles, uno, watching a dvd and then getting them ready for bed.
