Individual Support worker
|
I am a 47 year old mother of three girls(2 all grown up and 1 at school). I wanted to get back to the workplace after being a full time mum, but wanted to do something meaningful. I chose to become an Individual support worker specifically in aged care, as I want to make a difference. I completed my Cert III in Individual support(aging & Home and community).I completed my 120 hrs of work experience at an aged care facility in Wanneroo area , and I loved every minute of it. To make a difference in someones life, provide person centered care and building relationships with residents at the same time. It confirmed to me that I chose the right career.Although my girls are all grown up, I have so much caring left to give. I take a lot of pride in my work, I am a perfectionist and always give 110% to what ever I do. I am patient, outgoing and confident in my skills, and can assure you of the highest standard of care at all time.
