| Hello, For the last 18 years I helped care for my elderly parents. Mum had Alzheimer’s Disease and my Dad had Parkinson’s Disease and also Alzheimer’s Disease. They have both passed.I did a lot of day to day duties like cleaning, tidying, shopping and cooking. I would take them shopping or out for lunch. In the Nursing home towards the end of their lives, I would help to feed and take care of them. I really respect our Elders and enjoy spending time with them.

| Hi guys! I’m a 19 year old Monash peninsula nursing student currently completing my second year. I work casually at an aged care centre, feeding and providing personal care work for the elderly, I love it, and would love to offer my care to people in homes!

| I have worked in the aged care sector 30 years in a management role with loads of experience in dementia palliative care etc. and as a lifestyle manager in the city but since moving to the peninsula looking for something bit more low key and I just want to help members in the local community I have current NDIS , police check, etc.

| I am a mother of 3 beautiful adult children, eldest daughter is a Primary School teacher, son is an IT Specialist and my youngest daughter is in her second year of University studying finance and marketing. I also have what I call my "fourth child" our beautiful dog Bella who is a Maltese XS and is loved dearly. I have had over 30 years experience in all facets of office administration but retired in 2017. I love cooking healthy meals for my children as well as healthy treats. My hobbies including walking along the beach or Esplanade, love catching up with family and friends. We moved to the Mornington Peninsula just over 3 years ago and have not looked back as I love the clean salty air and wonderful community. I am so looking forward to meeting you and your beautiful family. I have vast experience with the elderly having worked at an RSL for 7 years also as a Welfare Office for the elderly and veteran community. Duties included shopping, medical and hospital visits, organising cleaning as well as organising meals.

| For the last 10 plus years I have been helping to care for my parents. Mum had Alzheimer’s then Dad was also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s Disease. I am very understanding of what is involved caring for a beloved family member with all the challenges that go along with it. I have been there and know how each day can perhaps start off well then very quickly go in another direction. I am patient and understanding of the mood swings that sometimes occur and have several strategies I used with my parents to calm down the atmosphere. Sometimes gentle music, songs and reading is all that’s needed to change the mood. I don’t have a certificate in Aged care but I do have all my safety checks in place i.e National Police check, WWC , Level 2 First Aid , having worked as a Community Support Worker last year. The position ended as the children I was caring for went into long term foster care. It would be great to have a chat and see if perhaps I might be looking for. I understand completely how important it is to find the right person for your senior loved one.
