● Excellent communication skills developed through dealing with people from a wide range of age groups and socio-cultural backgrounds. This includes the ability to empathetically convey information to patients and their families.
● Up-to-date knowledge of relevant government legislation and pharmacology developed through clinical placement experience and working as an Assistant in Nursing.
● Ability to develop, implement and evaluate nursing care plans with patients.
● Highly focussed on attention to detail, demonstrated through vigilant measurement of patient vital signs and ensuring accurate completion of documentation (admission assessment, nurse notes and discharge summary).
● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, evidenced through clinical placements, employment experience and throughout University studies.
● Excellent technical skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel and experience in database administration.
● Sound knowledge of ACFI.
