| I am a mature,hard working, committed, empathetic worker with a genuine believe that every carer can make a difference to a care recipients life. I am qualified in aged care and disability with a particular passion and interest in people living with dementia.

| I started my journey in Aged Care in 2005 in Goondiwindi and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was employed by Kalomo Home for the Aged as the CAPS Co-ordinator which concentrated on keeping the elderly in the community at home. The package consisted of delivering meals, light cleaning, personal care, medication assistance and socialising. I was also exposed to High and Low Care and Dementia within the facility. The past 5 years I have spent caring for a gentleman with Parkinson's Disease. I am required to shower and toilet him, assist with general grooming and medication. I take him to appointments and to social outings with friends and family. He requires 24/7 care at home and I am part of a team of 6 other ladies.

| I lived with and looked after my elderly parents. I have experience with helping people with dementia/Alzheimer's. I also worked in a small community group who helped older folk. I have since had a family of my own and then worked as a typist for a couple of years. I enjoy spending time with and helping elderly people. I am 46 years old.

| I have worked for regis aged care in Bulimba for 3 years. During that time I have specialised in patients ranging from dementia to physical disabilities. I'm efficient, safe and adaptable worker.

| I have experience in residential aged care work. My duties include showering, dressing, cleaning, washing, assist with shopping as well. Blood pressure check, BGL monitoing, feeding, using the hoist, assist with medication, Experience in working with dementia patients. I am currently studying Diplom of Nursing .
