| My name is Stacey, I’m 49 years old and live in Tiwi. I have changed my career from a scientist to become a PCA as I enjoy working with and helping the elderly. My very first job was a tea and tidy in a Brisbane aged care facility and it was highly rewarding. I graduated from the Certificate III in Individual Support ~ Aged Care early June after a four-week placement during May with Southern Cross Care, Pearl. I was trained in all aspects of aged care under the tutelage of highly experienced Personal Care Assistants (PCA) and Enrolled Nurses. I have the life skills and work ethic values to be a highly suitable candidate for a carer position: ~ First Aid Certificate ~ National Crime Check ~ Working with Children (Ochre) card ~ NT Police Check ~ Up-to-date Vaccinations ~ Hand Hygiene Certified I pick up procedures easily and am keen to secure part time or casual hours any day of the week.

| I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Nursing from Charles Darwin University and work as Assistant in nursing (AIN) for disability and aged care support in Healthscope independence service. I have also worked part-time as AIN for students with disability and/or health condition representing Access and Inclusion department of Charles Darwin University. I am extremely organized, calm and patient professional with excellent healthcare as well as computer skills. In my present role as Assistant in nursing for Healthscope, I am tasked with assisting the patient with personal care such as bedpan changes, diapering, emptying drainage bag, bathing and grooming. I have also performed wound care dressing on patient with high grade pressure injury such as pressure ulcer. During this time, I have been recognized as a dedicated, ambitious and reliable person who can work without supervision.
