My wife and I have 2 kids, who are currently 2 and 4. We are looking for an educator to come in one day a week to help us with child care and homeschooling. OUR APPROACH My wife and I decided have homeschooled the last two years, we have used a preschool curriculum We would like someone to help us come in and add-on Montessori to our homeschooling as well as collaborate in our homeschooling environment, including: * Helping us set up classes and activities * Being one of the 3 main educators * Helping us evaluate children's progress and make changes as a result We want to help our kids minimise their screen time to as close as 0—outside of educational activities—as is reasonably possible and substitute that time with fun activities in nature—playing with other kids, playing with water and sand, getting to know animals and plants, etc. We would also need someone who can help with other household chores and activities as required to keep the house running smoothly. LOGISTICS * Thursdays for 7.5 hours, with a chance of this becoming full-time for a suitable candidate. * Once we are comfortable with the winning candidate, my wife and I shall use Wednesday as our date day and the winning candidate shall be with the kids on the day - only education and childcare are expected on these days when we aren’t in to support the winning candidate. IDEAL CANDIDATE * 3+ years of early childhood education and care (0-5 years ) experience is mandatory * Someone with Montessori, similar or adjacent experience will be looked on favorably
