Seeking a passionate, playful and responsible carer to provide in-home vacation care to our 8yo boy (ASD Level 2 + ADHD) and 5yo girl (ASD Level 1) for 2 weeks over the upcoming school holiday period (WEEK 1 = 12-16 December, WEEK 2 = 17-21 January). Preference is for someone with experience providing care to children with an ASD and/or ADHD diagnosis and of a similar age. Our children struggle with their emotional regulation so carers with a high level of empathy will be highly regarded. Carers will have their own car and a willingness to take our children on outings during the day, for example to indoor play centres, parks and splash play facilities. Job description is to play with my son, whatever he likes to do. I am looking for someone to look after my 18 month old and my 3 year old while I work. They can be quite full on and are quite energetic. I will need someone with a licence that can pick them up from daycare a couple of days a week, I will also need someone that can cook dinner when they are looking after the boys. They will need to be bathed, dressed and be put to bed.

We are looking for a genuine and reliable person to help look after our Son. He will be 4 years old in April and has a moderate form of Autism. He will be attending Autism Queensland in Sunnybank Hills on Thursday and Fridays. I work full time in the CBD. My wife travels out of town for work once a month for a period of 8 days. During these 8 days we need someone to pick up our Son from AQ at 2:30pm in the afternoon and take him to our home in Brookwater and look after him until I get home (by 6:30pm) for two Thursday’s and one Friday per month while my wife is out of town. We may also request assistance during other days of the month. Our son is friendly and will engage with genuine people. He attends a regular childcare centre on the other 3 days and works very well with the child care workers there. He can verbally communicate basic requirements including when he’s hungry or wants to play or when he needs to go to the toilet (but may need assistance with number two from time to time).

I just need an extra set of eyes and hands to help me with my two kids (one is my niece) to keep them busy and maybe help with some meal prepping or outings both have different levels of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD they are medicated and are doing great but I’m struggling doing it on my own as my husband works long hours
