Experienced nanny for 3 children wanted in Toowoomba

Position description
- The role is that of a nanny working in the family home, providing the primary care of W (5), F (3) and P (11mo)
- The role is responsible for all tasks related to care, safety, development, nutrition and education of our children
- The role serves as a loving, nurturing, honest and trustworthy companion
Hours
- Thursday: 7.30am - 5.30pm
- Preference for some flexibility in start/finish time as I'm a shift worker, but not a necessity
Major responsibilities
- Act in a reliable, responsible punctual and mature manner
- Create a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment
- Plan and execute in-home activities- both indoors and outdoors
- Plan and execute out-of-home activities
- Encourage both interactive and independent play
- Reinforce safety, with a particular focus on road and stair safety
- Limit use of television, iPads and other electronic devices
- Manage nap times (including preparation of bottles as required)
- Changing of nappies
- Participate in toilet training
- Ensure hat and sunscreen are on for any play outside
- Perform housework related to the children, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas
- Model good manners (please, thank you, taking turns, being seated at meal times etc.)
- Teach and reinforce appropriate and respectful social interaction and play
- Appropriate discipline when necessary- a firm yet fair approach
- Administration of medicine as appropriate and agreed, including being comfortable with the management of anaphylaxis. Escalation to GP or ambulance as required
Other responsibilities
- Maintenance of daily record/log book to assist in handovers
- Communicate transparently and honestly with us (the parents) at all times
- Create an environment and relationship where you become an extension of our family unit
