I am a single mum with an almost four year old little boy named Luka. I do shift work as a Youth Worker on a 12 hour a day roster. Sometimes I can work 2, 3 or 4 days in a row. My shift times range from 6am until 6pm, or overnight 6pm until 6am or 7:30am until 7:30pm. On these occasions I have been relying on help from my son's father however his business hours conflict with my work hours and he is struggling to support over night care and picking Luka up and Dropping Luka off to kindy. I am seeking a nanny that will be able to help with days that I begin work at 6am , by arriving to my home before 5am and preparing Luka for Kindy and dropping him off to kindy at approximately 7:30am. In this instance he would also need to be picked up from kindy by 5:30pm and brought home and cared for until 6:30pm. On days that I begin work at 7:30 am, I am able to do kindy drop offs, however he would need to be picked up by 5:30pm and taken home for care and bedtime routine until 8:00pm. On overnight shifts, I would need a nanny for bedtime routine and overnight care from 5:00pm until 6:30am. On weekends, a nanny would be required during the entirety of my shift - unless I can find care with family members. This routine would only be required on the days that I work. I am able to prepare my shifts 6 or 12months in advance so the nanny would always know when required. The location of Lukas child care centre is approximately 7 minutes from our home. In conclusion, required care would be a couple hours in the morning and afternoon/night with pick up/drop offs from childcare and occasionally overnight care.
