I am a doctor moving to the Vines area as of 15 Dec 2024. I have two daughters - 3 and 9 yrs old. Our usual nanny/ support worker has gone away for holidays. As it is school holidays, both girls will be at home on Sundays and Mondays. As of now, the girls spend Sunday morning through to Tuesday morning every week with me and rest of time with their mum (we have recently separated). Our younger girl just finished pre-kindy and will start kindy as of Feb 2025. Our older girl has ASD and ADHD and we are NDIS funded to support her and she is making great progress. She will be Year 4 as of Feb 2025. We have always had a nanny/ babysitter since both girls were newborns . Older girl is very friendly. These days she needs some help with her homework as well. As the younger girl is around in the house, there will be some added responsibilities to manage her as well that would be shared with me (and my parents who are staying with me for a few months) such as combined bath time, play time and feeding. Right now I am looking for someone to start working as holiday cover as of Monday 16 Dec 2024 until about 26 January 2025. After that I would still be open for relief cover. Usual school holiday shift schedule as below Sunday and Monday mornings (10am to 2pm) Sunday and Monday evenings (5.45-8.45pm) There will be days when we would go out as a family for activities such as playtime in the park, bike rides, teaching swimming, taking them to the beach, play centre. movies etc. And you are very welcome to accompany us and you will be paid like a normal shift. You must have strong experience in working with special needs children such as a Therapy Assistant preferably who works as an EA (or studying Early Childhood) or with health background like Physio, Occupational Therapy , Nursing or similar background (either qualified or still studying) to assist us. If you are good at teaching like Maths, English, that would be great as well. Hourly rates will be negotiated based on the experience, for the right candidate. Usually I offer $40 to $50 per hour based upon your experience by invoicing as we are funded by NDIS. We will walk you through the process.
