We are looking for a Nanny for our 4yr old boy every second weekend - 10:30am Fridays through to 5pm Sundays. There are two sleepovers included in this care role. Mum and Dad have separated. Dad has a high level spinal cord injury and can not physically assist our son. He has full mental capacity to parent our boy but he needs your arms and legs to help him be the Dad he wants to be. Our boy is a very good sleeper. He’s an active little fella during the day, and is very good at listening to his Dad. Our boy attends daycare twice a week and loves playing with other children! Our boy has no allergies or learning difficulties. Light domestic duties would include tidying up toys, sorting our his laundry, assisting with meals for our son. (Dad has his own care staff to assist with his injury care requirements). Friday morning you would drive to the daycare (5min drive) in your car with our car seat or in Dad’s car (which ever you are comfortable with) to pick up our son. On the weekend, Dad will be in his wheelchair ready for the day about 10am, so entertaining our son at home before Dad is up would be your role. Then once Dad is ready for the day, Dad will have the day planned, you would most likely be out doing fun activities with dad, a carer & our son. Main qualities we are looking for include: 1. Excellent ability to communicate with Dad on his parenting wishes. 2. Understanding our son and see him as a young person needing positive guidance in his day to day life. 3. Facilitating father son relationship where ever possible during your shift. The successful applicant will be employed under the care agency Dad has managing his personal care, so no ABN required. Every hour is paid even when sleeping. Pay rates are as follows, plus super. Friday 7am - 7pm $24.36 7pm - 7am $28.26 Saturday: $28.26 Sunday: $34.11 Pub holiday: $48.73 All flat rate All under the Miscellaneous Award. You must have a blue card, police check, drivers license and references. Preferably looking for a nanny who is a similar age to us, we are in our 30’s. Please note: We have two medium sized dogs who our son loves, so being comfortable around our pets is important to us.
