Hi there, My name is Ash and I've just moved to Avalon. I am a freelancer so have variable needs for care for my 2.5 year old boy named J and am exploring what options might be available for care when I need to work. I typically know a week or 2 in advance if I am about to be booked on a project and then I know how much time I will need support with childcare (extending to as much as 4 days per week for a few months). My thinking was to book 1 day per week as a regular day and then increase that with work confirmation coming in, but am open to suggestions! Hours can be fairly flexible, but I'm thinking a typical working day say 9-5 or similar. We have a house with a covered balcony and yard, the bottom level has his bedroom, a play room, living room and the kitchen so plenty of room for him to play and I would either be working upstairs or out at meetings etc. And a short walk to plenty of parks/the beach/the library etc. We have a small friendly toy cavoodle dog named indie who is really nice, but important whoever looks after Jude is ok with dogs. I was wanting to see if this was something anyone would be open to exploring with me, what are your rates, experience etc. and how you would feel working in a bit more of a variable nature of work. My son is (in my opinion, but I'm obviously quite biased) a lovely boy, quite active. He loves running around, riding his bike, playing with cars and doing lots of activities and loads of cuddles. He'd be looking for someone to care for him and play with him, and help him get to sleep during his naps in the day. Would love to hear from anyone who thinks this could be a good fit.
