I'm a 30-year-old single mother with two daughters, aged 5 and 3. We also share our home with two dogs. I work two jobs—one full-time (40-45 hours per week) and another part-time (20-25 hours per week). We live in Ashtonfield, close to Maitland, which offers easy access to shops, public transport, and is only 30 minutes from Newcastle and Newcastle Airport. My eldest daughter, who has ASD, needs some extra care, as she can be sensitive and occasionally has challenging behaviors and strong emotions. My younger daughter is a sweet, cheeky girl who adores her big sister. As a family, we value our time together, enjoying wholesome activities like trips to the beach, park outings, and other adventures. We are active and love being outdoors, and our animals are an important part of our lives. We’re looking for a nanny who is flexible, adaptable, and ready to integrate into our dynamic life, where plans can change unexpectedly. A positive and willing attitude is essential. I want someone who is kind, caring, understanding, firm but fair, responsible, and prompt. It’s important to me that my daughters are around someone who is driven to help them learn, provides a safe and secure environment, and nurtures them. Duties will include, not limited to: • Arriving before I leave for work, getting the girls up, dressed, and ready for daycare (with my eldest starting school next year), and dropping them off at daycare in East Maitland (Monday-Friday). • Taking my eldest to OT every second Monday and Play Therapy every Tuesday, with drop-off back to daycare afterward. Staying to observe is optional, but it might be beneficial for understanding her better. • Picking up the girls in the afternoons from daycare (or school next year) • Cooking dinner • Getting the girls ready for bed, including bath time, brushing teeth, and bedtime routine. Obviously having your driver's license and a vehicle is essential for this position. Weekends may vary depending on my work schedule, and there may be times when I’ll need your help during the day or to stay overnight if I have an event or need to run errands. My family visits from QLD occasionally, which might give you some time off. A key factor for me is that you always feel respected and appreciated.
