We require a Nanny to care for our nearly 4 months old girl one day a week at our home in East Toowoomba. You must have at least 3 years’ experience working with children and specific experience working with babies. We are looking for someone special that has a true passion for working with little ones, fully engaged with them, love to have fun and play and be motivated to try new things/activities/developmental games! I am a paediatric Speech Pathologist so you will have access to a large amount of toys and activities as she grows and develops. You will need to be tidy, patient, kind, caring and a great communicator. Whilst the primary focus will be on our baby, there is an element of housekeeping. The candidate will be required to undertake general housekeeping duties as time permits (e.g., when the baby is asleep) including pack/unpack dishwasher, washing/folding, dinner prep etc. The role will start as one day a week, however, this will increase throughout the year as mutually agreed. For the right candidate, we are flexible on the day of the week and would even consider two mornings rather than one full day if that would better suit. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: • Caring for our baby and facilitating her day/s • All childcare related duties • Keeping baby in a good routine • Researching and facilitating developmentally appropriate games and activities • Tidying main areas/toys as required • Providing updates and communicating with family • House duties as required – washing/folding clothes, packing/unpacking dishwasher, cleaning/sanitising bottles, dinner prep CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years’ experience as an early childhood educator, nanny or Kindergarten Teacher • Vaccinated – Covid-19 (willing to dismiss if you have had reaction to first vaccine), Flu, Whooping Cough • WWCC (Blue Card) • Police Check • Pet friendly • Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain one) • Valid CPR certificate • Minimum 2 referees that are happy to be contacted • Qualified in or studying towards a minimum Certificate III in Childcare, Education or Health related qualifications (e.g., Allied Health) are strongly encouraged!
