Hello! We are looking for someone to help care for our beautiful children after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays while we manage our work commitments. Our family is made up of Dad (Engineer), Mum (Designer and Teacher), Daughter (7), Son (4) and our dog (11). We are hoping to find someone suitably qualified who is happy to reliably take care of our fun-loving kids. Their interests include playing outdoors, crafting, reading, music, cooking and Lego. All afternoons will require a school pick-up and 1-2 daycare pick-ups per week also, so a car is essential. We estimate that we will require 9-10 hours per week, more could possibly be negotiated depending on suitability. We are happy to work through the logistics, however ideally responsibilities would include school/daycare pick up, prepare afternoon tea, help with light homework, instigate fun activities, keep household routines, and help with meal prep so that the kids are eating at a reasonable time. Hi there, we are a professional couple in our 30's working full-time and require some help with our three young boys. Our boys are: Otis - turns 5 years old in May Felix - just turned 3 in December Penn - 18 months - 2 in July For two days a week, we require someone to look after Felix (3) and Penn (18 mths) for a full day (Monday and Wednesday - 8 hour days). The other days we require assistance with drop off and pick up at pre-primary or daycare and helping with light duties around the house (e.g. kids washing, tidying up after them, emptying lunch boxes from school, dishwasher etc). These days would likely be split shifts as all three kids would be out of the house after drop off but would still total 5-6 hours. Our kids have been exposed to a nanny/au pair for the last year however like all kids, are sensitive to new people coming into the house. As such, it is important that the nanny is warm, gentle and patient in order to develop trust and rapport with the kids. Whilst the majority of assistance we require is somewhat practical, the role of nanny is much more than that. It is a trusting relationship where the children will look to them for guidance, learning and comfort and so it is important that when the nanny is with the kids, they are engaged with their activities and interactive, not just there in a supervisory capacity. Being all boys, they do require a lot of active outdoor play and as we would do, we would expect the nanny to play along with them and get involved! We do have a vehicle that can be used for all the kids needs during the day to take them to activities/sport/school so a licence is essential. Laura's work schedule is reasonably flexible which means she will usually always be home by about 3pm to help. Occasionally, however, she is required to go interstate for a few days.
