I have been working a full time job with my brothers seasonal business. I have decided to become a full time child care provider. Last year I worked in the winter at a day care center. I had no idea how much I would love this job. I am now blessed with a 1-year-old granddaughter so that is why I have decided to do an in home daycare in my Zoarville area home. When I worked at the day care I realized each day as I walked through the doors that the parents of these children have entrusted them to me. I am their role model today. It was humbling and energizing. I love interaction with children. When I left to go back to my full time job the children said they would miss me because I always brought fun things for them to do. I am a creative person. I love crafts and nature. I love seeing the joy in children's eyes when they see and do new things and the pride in them when they make or accomplish something. I have so many ideas. I'd like to list some of them so you will see some of the things I would like to do with your children. I would set up two jars for each child. I would give them a little chore to do. They would then receive 10 cents in each jar. One jar would be a savings for them. When they earn so much they can buy from my treasure box. The second jar is our donation jar to donate to those in need. In the Spring I would buy a plant for each child which they will help me plant and water and watch THEIR plant grow. I don't want to be just a glorified baby sitter. I want to be a role model. I have my own photography studio I do in the evenings and weekends. I am also the newborn photographer at Union Hospital. I have references from parents at the daycare I worked for. I have my FBI finger print papers, CPR, home water test, and soon will complete my first aide and health & safety class. I am a Christian so God and prayer will be mentioned in my day care. I live close to Dover Dam and Camp Tuscazora. I charge $3.50 - $4/hr.
