Originally from the USA, I am currently a masters student studying international development at Aalborg University in KBH. I am involved in many NGO organizations around the city in different capacities, mostly dealing with issues of education and migration. I have been working in childcare as a mentor, babysitter, daycare teacher, and personal care assistant since I was a teenager. I am fluent in English and Spanish and working on my Danish. I believe children are masters of non-verbal communication compared to adults, so the language barriers rarely matter. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy reading, running, rugby, cooking, creative writing, and crafting. I try to incorporate these interests into child-care work whenever possible to ensure that children do not resort to screen-time. I am enthusiastic, low-stress, and have a good sense of boundaries.
