About
This class will provide a basic introduction to the tools, materials and techniques used in traditional tambour beading which is the cornerstone of embellishment in the French Haute Couture industry. Starting with preparing the fabric on the frame students will progress to
learning the basic tambour stitch with thread then move on to adding beads and sequins to the design.
We will practice with two different sequin applications, as well as work with seed beads and bugle beads all of which use the same basic stitch. The front of the design will include surface stitching using the tambour hook with just thread.
Once registered for the class students will receive links to important Youtube videos to view in
preparation for the class.
