About

In the skunk-themed drawing and painting activity, students will
refine a variety of skills essential for artistic development. They will
enhance their observational skills by closely examining images of
skunks and floral gardens, which will aid in accurately rendering
these subjects in their art. The project also focuses on developing
drawing skills, as students learn to simplify complex images into
basic shapes and outlines through guided steps. Additionally, using
watercolors will immerse students in color theory, enabling them to
experiment with color mixing and application to achieve depth and
realism. This activity will also improve their fine motor skills, as
precise hand movements are crucial for both drawing and painting
techniques.

Children will be exposed to a variety of mediums and work on building up new skills.

Dress for a mess!
We often use acrylic paints, which can be very difficult to remove from clothing.
