About

Students will learn basic tap steps through a tap warm-up and going across the floor. I will introduce more challenging steps once the basics are mastered. Dancers will learn to properly stretch and strengthen the muscles that are needed, so that they may learn basic turns, jumps, leaps, and other dance skills.

Students will learn the basic steps of ballet & tap. We will work on barre, in center and across the floor.

Dancers are expected to show up to class:
- with their hair pulled up and away from their face
- with the appropriate shoes for each class they are participating in: pink Ballet slippers, tan jazz shoes, tan tap shoes
- wearing formfitting attire (traditionally a leotard and tights-but skirts/shorts/leggings are all acceptable as well)
- also remember to bring a water bottle!
