About
Class Description: This independent art class is designed for teens who are ready to explore their creative potential and develop their own artistic projects. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether you're interested in building your technical skills or discovering your own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New Teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge before diving into more independent study.
What You’ll Learn:
Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques.
Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, you’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life.
Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking.
Self-Expression: Find your own voice and style as you experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making.
Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance your artistic process and growth.
Who This Class Is For:
Teens ages 12-17 who are eager to create art independently but want guidance and inspiration from a teacher. Students interested in experimenting with different art forms and techniques. Young artists who want to develop their skills and explore personal projects.

Students who arrive or become ill at the studio will be sent home as soon as possible and will be isolated until pick-up.
*Students are allowed one make-up class per session, please contact info@rebelartschool.com to schedule. A make-up class must be scheduled and completed before the end of the session, make-ups will not be carried into new session.
*We require that parents/caretakers remain outside of the studio. Please feel free to accompany your artist to check-in/check-out (and peek your head into see the space), but please be sure to provide distance between other parents/caretakers. We know that many of our younger artists may be a bit anxious at first, and in those circumstances we welcome you to come into the entry way to check in with them, but we do not permit adults other than staff into the actual studio rooms.
