Students will immerse themselves in a story and a language as they experience play-based learning through role-playing games. Our head Game Runner will narrate a story and communicate character actions in English, while a bilingual instructor will perform the dialogue of the characters they speak with in Spanish. Players will need to communicate in Spanish with characters of varying verbal complexity, using their own knowledge and the support of a trained educator to help them along. Some language learning experience with Spanish is recommended, though we will focus on beginner and intermediate learning.
The age range for this series is approximate. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis depending on a camper's age, maturity level, and scheduling availability.
This session will take place online at roll20.net and Google Meet. To access your game, simply log in to Roll20, go to "My Games", and click "Launch Game," or keep an eye on your email for the game and Meet links. Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel your camper's attendance at least 48 hours before a session, you can be credited the full amount of your purchase on request. Refunds consist of the cost of registration minus a $2 administrative fee per session. This administrative fee covers credit card fees and clerical work associated with issuing the refund. If a session is cancelled by MDV, you may choose to receive account credit, or have the full cost refunded in the manner it was paid. Please submit any scheduling changes via email to greetings@mdv.world. We reserve the right to cancel a session date if the number of participants is inadequate.
