Miss Charisse joined the Gymboree family in February of 2016 in Simi Valley and transferred to the Thousand Oaks location in July of 2017.  She earned a BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Family Development, and a minor in Philosophy, from California Lutheran University. She is currently in a master’s program at Pepperdine University working towards an MA in Behavioral Psychology. Her favorite classes to teach are Play & Learn levels 1, 2, and 3!

“What I love most about Gymboree are the relationships! I love seeing the relationships between the child and the parents grow through play. I love seeing children develop friendships with other kids or parents making new friends with other parents! I love the relationships I’ve built with the families and with my co-workers. I feel like Gymboree is a very special place to build long-lasting relationships”.

Recently graduated from Cal Lutheran with her degree in education, and she is currently working towards her teaching credential and masters degree. She is a student teacher to first graders. Jess started working at Gymboree when we reopened in July 2021, and loves working here!

Julene joined the Gymboree Play & Music family in August of 2021, and quickly has taken on bringing her study in music to the classes she teaches.

Hello! I’m Miss Julene and I am so thrilled to be a part of the Gymboree team! My Gymboree journey began the year I was born, as I actually grew up attending classes myself. Now, I have my Bachelors of Music from the University of Cincinnati and a HUGE passion for incorporating music and play into the development of little ones. It is absolutely the most fulfilling way to use my musical background and I am excited to continue to meet future generations of Gymboree kiddos (like me!)
