About
Inspired by the shapes, sounds and colors of Guatemalan art traditions, students will use a wide assortment of materials to create:
edible crafts such as flores de fruta (fruit flowers)
non-edible crafts such as papel picado
Students will learn about the most influential cities/towns in the Guatemalan art landscape. They will use Spanish to describe the geography, shapes, colors and textures of Latin art. They will learn an array of language structures to express their preferences and verbs for creative actions they engage in (drawing, cutting, separating, etc.) All students will to take home their projects at the end of the week.
