About
***This course is ONLY for Grades 3-5*** Knitting is creative and the possibilities are endless. Students will learn the basic skills associated with this fun fiber craft: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and casting off. In addition, students will be exposed to and learn how to identify different fibers and how to read the language of knitting in patterns. Projects will be based on the skills acquired in the class. No previous experience is required, but anyone who has some skills is welcome to this class. The teacher will choose materials and give to the students in the early sessions. Students are encouraged/expected to knit at home between classes. More knitting practice means more project options and skills progress. Students are expected to bring their knitting supplies to each class session.
