I am looking for a caregiver to help support my parents one day per week (likely Mondays) on an ongoing basis.
My father, Mark, iscognitively disabled after two brain surgeries. He is prone to seizures, though he has not had one in 3 months. He can still complete basic tasks but has lost complex reasoning skills.
My mother, Eileen, still works full time. My goal is to hire someone who can help lighten Mom's workload and allow her to go to her office one day per week.
Each day may vary, but general responsibilities would include:
- Grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions. Dad would come with you on these outings and can be helpful if you give him one task at a time (e. g., you could send him to get the milk).
- Meal prep
- Household cleaning
