While Denver is known for its amazing weather almost year-round, there are some days when rain or snow can put a damper on outdoor activities. When that happens, we all know the drill: The kids have their hearts set on some fun outdoor activity like miniature golfing, but Mother Nature decides not to cooperate.
Cue the hysteria!
Never fear, Denver has quite a few options for indoor mini golf where the kiddos can get in their putting fix. To help you out, we pulled together a list of top five favorite indoor mini golf spots. So, whether you’re a parent, babysitter, or nanny in search of some good indoor fun, you’re bound to score a hole in one with any of these places.
Monster Mini Golf
Address: 8227 S. Holly St., Centennial, CO 80122
Hours: Monday – Saturday, noon – 10 p.m. | Sunday, noon – 8 p.m.
Phone: 303-993-6892
What’s better than a regular mini golf course? A glow-in-the-dark, monster-themed course! Monster Mini Golf has 18 holes that are challenging enough for adults but also fun for the kids. The course is filled with monster décor and local artwork, and a DJ spins tunes on Monster Mini Golf’s own radio station.
Prices vary by height: “Little Monsters” will run you $8.99 a round, while “Big Monsters” can play for $9.99. Or if you’re looking for a spooktacular date night, two can play a round of golf on Thursdays for $10!
If not everyone in your party is into mini golf, the arcade games may win them over. With each game played, the kiddos earn tickets, which can be traded in for fun prizes! One tip to know before you go: Monster Mini Golf sells bottled drinks but no food. So if you have a monstrous appetite, be sure to eat before you arrive.

“Argh-uably” the best pirate-themed mini golf course in town, Fat Cats in Westminster wins over the family with its Glow Golf. Fat Cats has the perfect short, nine-hole course for those who don’t want to commit to a full 18 holes. And it doesn’t break the bank, at $2.99 per person per round. The great price leaves room for the kids to try the Laser Maze Challenge or check out the arcade while the adults shoot some pool.
Fat Cats even has 29 lanes of bowling, ensuring there’s something for everyone! And if the crew gets hungry, they can select from a full menu of salads, appetizers, pizza, sandwiches, and more. There’s also a kids’ menu that has all the classic favorites — pizza, mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and hot dogs — ensuring that no landlubber will go hungry!

While TopGolf is typically thought of as an adults-only date night activity, the kids can come along, too, for a fun time! TopGolf allows golfers of all ages to play and has a free “KidsZone” that you can sign up for to get information on kid-friendly activities. If your little one isn’t into golf, TopGolf boasts pool tables, video games, and lawn games, like giant Jenga.
As far as golfing goes, renting out a bay for up to six people to hit balls will cost you $25 an hour until noon, $35 an hour from noon to 5 p.m., and $45 an hour from 5 p.m. to close. Looking for a better deal? The whole family can get 50 percent off play weekdays until 5 p.m. during the summer with a junior membership card. There may be a long wait in the evenings, so get there early, especially on the weekends. Another perk of TopGolf is they have a full restaurant (with a kids menu) and a bar — keeping both the big golfers and the little golfers happy! If you’re looking for a unique camp experience for the kiddos, TopGolf offers a summer camp, too.

Two outdoor courses totaling 36 holes will cost you $8.50 a round for those 58 inches or taller and $5.50 for the smaller kiddos. Both locations offer 12 Buck Tuesdays and Thursdays, where you get unlimited laser tag, bowling, and video games for $12.

Although, sadly, Putting Edge is closed at the moment due to hail damage suffered during a May hailstorm that hit Denver, this is a family favorite.
