Each June the MOMS Club of Ceres puts on a banquet for members where we raise money for the service projects that we support. June 2016 we raised over $2,500. With this money we were able to allocate between $200 and $500 to each of the following causes:
1. Without Permissions
2. Sweet Cases (providing duffle bags to children in foster care)
3. Children’s Crisis Center
4. Sierra Vista
5. Awesome Spot Park (to build a park for handicapped children)
6. Women’s Haven
We also managed to put on a very successful garage/bake sale in November of 2016 where we raised $500 to put toward the soroptomist tree in the mall. We then picked 5 names off the tree and bought $100 worth of stuff for each child. We managed to get everything on each child’s list, and we even managed to get some stuff that didn’t make the list for at least one of those children.
