Real Story Spotlight: Using Past Experiences to Build a Career as a Caregiver

Austin, TX – “Taking care of people in need is a grand vocation for me. Many people end up sick or in need of care at least once in their life. As one grows older, that need amplifies more and more. Elderly care is a way I can help people.

I feel right at home when I’m placing a blanket over someone who’s cold, answering questions for the person who’s confused, and simply healing those in need of it.

Often times I find myself pushing my boundaries and limitations in order to succeed in the healing process for the elderly. If that means I need to educate myself more, work long exhausting hours, or even handle multiple people at once, I am there giving it my all.

What separates me from everyone else is my varied experience in the medical field. Gratefully, my career so far has included hospital care, surgical care, emergency care, ambulance care, assisted living care, and much more.

As a care provider it is important to always be mentally prepared, emotionally prepared, and be prepared to expect the unexpected. The better I am at my job, the better a patient will feel and heal. The main priority is to keep everyone well and happy.”
