As the last of the leaves fall from the trees and the cold afternoons grow dark, it is natural to long for sunnier days. But, with a little perspective shift and a lot of hot chocolate, winter can become the most enjoyable season of all. This is also known as hygge!
The Oxford English Dictionary defines the Danish term hygge as “a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” While Danes have adopted this style of living year-round, hygge has become synonymous with winter cosiness internationally.
The glow of candlelight, cuddling up by the fire, sharing a hot meal with friends and family – there are numerous ways you can incorporate hygge into your life and make this winter the cosiest of all. To help you hygge your life this winter, we are giving away copies of “The Little Book of Hygge,” by Meik Wiking, the CEO of The Happiness Research Institute, Copenhagen.
Enter our raffle now to be in with a chance to win and get cosy the Danish way.
