My youngest son is s sophomore in high school. He plays on the basketball team and loves every minute of it. One of his life goals is to be able to dunk the basketball. This has been hindered because as my husband would say he is vertically challenged.
He hasn’t really had a growth spurt and is always asking me when he will grow. He constantly is asking how tall I think he will be. To be honest by this time I thought he would grow more. His brother is now 6 feet tall and he stands a 5 feet 7 inches. Their growth patterns have been completely different. I don’t want to dash his dream of playing college basketball but his height is not working in his favor.
He thinks I could take him to the doctor to find our if there is an accurate height predictor that will help tell him how tall he could be. I hate to think about using a height predictor because what if something happens and they think he will be shorter? I’m worried he will be depressed over something that shouldn’t really matter all that much. Is using a height predictor something you would recommend for a 15 year old?
