I am mother to 3-year-old twin girls. Even at the age of 3, these little ladies can have times when this mom gets on their nerves and they act like I’m not as cool as I think I am. Often, I try to engage them with conversation and ask things like “how preschool went” or “what they had for lunch.” Right now these small conversations work well with my little ones, but when they are teenage girls, I’m sure those questions won’t go over as well due to boring ole mom.
Here are some interesting and creative questions that you can discuss with your teenage daughters to engage in thoughtful conversation and savor that precious mother/daughter time together.
- Who do you admire as a leader?
- Who are you most like in our family?
- What is the best compliment you have received ?
- What movie can you watch over and over again?
- If you were to write a novel, what would it be about?
- If you had your own TV network, what would you put on it?
- If you could be any age, what age would you choose?
- What law is your peer group most likely to break?
- Does your best friend call you their best friend?
- What is the stupidest thing that one of your friends has done?
