The outdoor beer garden is just large enough for the Mile High’s finest food trucks to park “inside,” so no need to leave your brew behind. Lowdown is not only known for clever naming skills when it comes to brews (e.g. Big Rye the Science Guy Porter), but quite a few dishes on its tasty menu have unique monikers, as well. This recently opened Highlands brewery is not only family-friendly but, from what its website proclaims, it’s also “dog friendly to friendly dogs.” Family members, both furry and two-legged, can coexist on the open patio while adults enjoy one of the tasty brews Zuni Street’s menu boasts. Pack snacks for the kids to enjoy while they’re playing giant Jenga. Like most places in Denver, water is readily available for patrons.

Plus, there’s a full selection of food, with some of the better burgers and tots in Denver. Be aware that — for safety reasons — starting the weekend of June 30, Recess is enforcing a dog-free patio all day on Fridays and Saturdays through the summer.

This new RiNo neighborhood brewery and restaurant of a Denver original boasts an open and airy interior and exterior perfect for a family with energetic children. Space is important to families when dining out, especially if little ones are in tow and need to constantly get up and explore. Unlike most breweries, you’ll be happily surprised by the number of families enjoying a meal and a few pints at this Blue Moon location. The menu features several creative takes on classic bar food favorites, which means options for even the pickiest of eaters.
This recently opened spot is the only location for Blue Moon brewing. The majority of Blue Moon bottling, production, and distribution is done at the Coors brewery now, but this brewery location brews their beer in-house.
