Suzanne Tran is the Vice President of Marketing at Care for Business. As a working mom and a driven professional, reliable child care was incredibly important to Suzanne. As a result, she was a Care.com user long before she was a leader on the team, and is able to draw on her own experiences and insights to drive the business forward and best support Care’s members.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m a mom to my two kids, Lily and Jax, a career marketer, and partner-in-crime to my husband Drew. Our home in Northern California, is filled with so much laughter and love, especially with our big Akita pup, Diesel.
How about your professional life?
I have over 15 years of direct marketing experience in B2B and B2C organizations. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be part of a number of amazing companies like LinkedIn, DoorDash, Care and others. My professional career has been focused on building and scaling marketing teams from the ground up across several disciplines including user acquisition and retention, content marketing and SEO, social media marketing, event marketing, and branding. It’s no surprise that when Care asked me to join their team with an opportunity to do what I love most, build a world-class marketing function, I was excited for the challenge. Today, I work alongside some of the most talented and passionate marketers to drive brand awareness, educate target audiences about our business, increase impact to our bottom line, and stand behind a mission I strongly believe in.
What drew you to Care?
Care is a mission-driven business. It helps everyone with care-agnostic solutions. Care not only offers parents child care options but it also includes care for seniors, pets, home management, self-care, and more. I became a mom eight years ago and throughout those years (now I have two beautiful children), I’ve been a loyal Care member. Care has been there for me and my family when I needed help and during the toughest times. It’s a company that I stand behind and am deeply passionate about. So, when Care called, I was excited for the opportunity to be a part of a brand that I live and breathe.
What inspires you about the work you do?
If I could distill it down to three thing that inspire me, it would be:
- The team at Care. From leadership to cross-functional partners and everyone in-between, they all share the deep passion for supporting people and families. They are deeply committed to building an organization that truly impacts people’s lives, makes a difference, and are dedicated to evolving Care to ensure it continues to be accessible for everyone.
- Making an impact around the experience we’re building, which is Care for every employee and their families.
- The vision of where we want to go, and how everyone is trucking towards that goal. The future is bright and I’m excited for it.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?
It’s evolved. When I was younger, connecting with friends and trying new restaurants would be how I’d spend my free time. Fast forward to today, I prefer to spend my time with my husband and children doing arts and crafts, or being outside—really any type of child-friendly activities.
