Responsibilities As a childcare provider I was responsible for a variety of duties connected with children's day: 1. starting from waking them up and fulfilling all morning routine; 2. preparing breakfast and lunches for school; 3. putting the children on the bus, receiving them off the bus or picking up from school; 4. helping with homework, providing afternoon snack 5. helping with bedtime routine and bathing; My duties included also childrens' laundry, driving to and from places we were visiting in a free time, cleaning after them, picking up the toys, giving the medicine, helping with potty/toilet-training, assist with dressing and sometimes shopping, etc. I was responsible for 4 to 6 children in an age range starting at 3 (5 at the present) through 5 (7 present), 7 (9 present; diagnosed ADHD) and 9 (11 present) and sometimes additional 12 (soon 14) and 14 (soon 16) of their step-brothers. Accomplishments Most of the things and organization of the time and entertainment was dependent on me. I was consulting the details with the parents and waiting for confirmation, however most of the ideas came out from me. I was building the day around what I was informed of that the kids have to be present at/signed up for and very often happened to entertain 3 children while the other one was taking a class. Children learnt to be very obedient with the time and we still keep on improving this skill and good manners. Skills Used Flexibility; patience; being understanding and organized; creativity; ability to discipline as needed; engaging in performed activities and games; longanimity; explaining and being just; honesty.
