Our History - MyGuru was established in 2009 by Mark Skoskiewicz. After having spent the previous decade learning the ins and outs of private tutoring and test prep services, Mark felt there would be great value in slowly building an elite team of like-minded private tutors that provided the best value to the student at a fraction of the cost and without the large overhead expenses.

While classmates at Northwestern (Kellogg School of Management), Ethan Castro learned about Mark's business model and decided to team up with Mark to bring the same services and reputable brand to the West Coast in late 2012.
