Your Child's Place

Your Child's Place is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years with complex medical needs. We are located just off of the Murtland Avenue exit of Interstate 70 and easily accessible from Route 19 and I-79. Your Child's Place is licensed by the Department of Health and the Department of Public Welfare. The center provides skilled pediatric nursing care in addition to educational instruction in a child care setting. The children can receive all of their therapies at Your Child's Place as deemed necessary through our partnerships with Early Intervention, Intermediate Unit, and the Washington Health System Children s Therapy Center.

The care we provide at Your Child's Place is completely FREE to eligible families!! The medical services are prescribed by the child's physician, and billed to the insurance. The only stipulation is that the parent(s) must be working while the care is provided. The types of nursing services we can provide include, but are not limited to: Close communication with the child's physician, daily nursing assessments and monitoring, medication administration, tube feeding administration and care, tracheostomy care, ventilator/CPAP/oxygen care, IV therapy/central line therapy, apnea monitoring, Synagis administration, and colostomy/catheter care. Care at the center is provided by registered nurses who operate under a medical director.

Our facility has been in operation for nearly ten years. Your Child's Place has a secure locked entrance that is monitored for safety, hospital grade ventilation and filtration system, heated flooring, wall oxygen and suction hookups, and boasts two playgrounds with equipment uniquely designed for children with special needs. The center has three separate child care rooms that are divided based upon mobility level. We incorporate an educational component in addition to the nursing care that we provide and each child gets individualized attention and care.
