Wortham In-home Care

I am a 29-year-old, married, stay-at-home mom with one daughter (17 months) and I would like to offer my childcare services to 1-3 children in my home. I am open to bringing my daughter to your home and watching your children there.

I am currently in the Listed Home process with the State of Texas Department of Protective Services and both my husband and I have a clear background / criminal history.

I have a large (~2700 sq. ft.) baby-proofed home, plenty of educational and stimulating toys and a large backyard. My home is within walking distance of several parks with playgrounds. We are a Catholic family and I would be happy to teach Christian principles to your child, if you so desire. I have been recently certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

Due to concerns regarding the effects of chemicals on young children, I make a lot of my own cleaning products using Castile soap and other natural ingredients, or I use products with a good rating from EWG. I also buy grass-fed, pastured meats and organic vegetables, so your child(ren) would be eating very nutritiously (if he or she is already on solid foods).

If there are other requests by you, I would be happy to work with you (for instance, food/environmental allergies, cloth diapering, babywearing, using your pumped breast milk instead of formula, etc.). I don't require your child(ren) to be vaccinated. Please keep in mind that my own child is not vaccinated.

Of note: I have one dog, a 60 lb. collie/blue heeler mix. He is well-behaved, especially with my own daughter and children who have visited (her cousins, my friends' children, etc.). He has been recently vaccinated, is in good health, and is well-trained.

Rates (assuming a regular full-time schedule):
$150/wk for one child
$275/wk for two children

I am willing to have you list me as your child care provider on your tax return so you can receive the dependent care credit.

I am interested in a longer-term relationship here and I'm willing to work with you when it comes to schedules, discipline, education and other important aspects regarding the care of your child. This is not merely a business to me; your child(ren) will be my daughter's playmate and, for a time at least, they will grow up together, eat the same meals, and read the same books.
