Wize Up! Tutoring will help all students achieve better science and math grades and improve SAT/ACT, PSAT & GRE test scores. We specialize in biology, chemistry, genetics, and math (through pre-calculus) We will devise a program based on your goals and your child's learning style that offers your child a clear path toward higher achievement on tests, quizzes and exams. We are available for both in-person or on-line.

Students will see a real increase in their understanding of the subject material through careful analysis and discussion of the questions and answers to their homework/test problems. This understanding will put them in a stronger position to apply their knowledge toward solving more challenging exam questions which are the key to achieving high performance.

We offer tutoring in the following subjects & standardized tests for middle and high school students:
Biology and Genetics, General or AP
Chemistry, General or AP
SAT, PSAT, ACT Exams
Math including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus
English reading and writing skills
General organization and homework support

ABOUT ME
I hold an M.S. degree in molecular & cell biology and a B.S. degree in environmental science. I've worked over fifteen years in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, both as a lab researcher and as a business development manager. My teaching experience includes six years as a middle & high school science and math teacher, as well as several years of tutoring experience.

I believe that all students deserve a tutor who is kind, patient and knowledgeable; who can relate to each students individual needs and challenge and encourage all student to achieve beyond their expectations of themselves. My goal is to help inspire young students to gain successful admission to quality universities and move toward successful careers in industry or academia. I have worked successfully with students of all races and socio-economic backgrounds. I've also worked with many students having some type of learning disability or attention disorder and have found ways to help them as well.

My standard rate is $50/hr. I am currently offering an introductory rate of $40/hr. for the first session to new clients only.
